Tata Motors has started accepting pre-launch bookings for the upcoming Nexon.ev ahead of its launch on September 14, 2023. Interested customers can now reserve their units either online or offline for an initial sum of Rs 21,000.
Here’s a brief rundown of the 2023 Tata Nexon.ev (Nexon EV Facelift): –
- Being a facelift version, the electrified Nexon has undergone significant design changes and received new features. Most of these changes are in line with its updated ICE counterpart. However, a few differentiating elements on the Nexon.ev are the closed-off grille, a width-spanning LED DRL strip, and differently designed air curtains.
- Inside, the Nexon.ev gets a bigger 12.3-inch infotainment system with Arcade.ev, which allows access to various entertainment apps when the vehicle is stationary. These include Amazon Prime, YouTube, Disney+ Hotstar, Gaana, Jio Saavan, TuneIn Radio, Jio Pages, and more.
- Other notable changes and feature additions include a redesigned dashboard, a new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a new fully digital 10.25-inch driver’s display, a JBL sound system, a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, six airbags, and vehicle to vehicle (V2V) and vehicle to load (V2L) charging capabilities.

- Features like Apple Carplay and Android Auto, ventilated front seats, cruise control, wireless charger, connected car tech, driving modes, auto AC, rear AC vents, electric sunroof, tyre pressure monitoring system, auto headlamps, electronic parking brakes with auto-hold function, etc., have been carried forward from the outgoing model.
- Underneath the hood, the updated Nexon EV receives a new Gen II e-motor, which is around 20kg lighter than the previous motor. However, the battery pack choices remain the same.

- Tata is set to announce the pricing for the new electric Nexon on September 14. We expect its prices to start from around Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
- Once on sale, it will continue to rival the Mahindra XUV400 EV.
