The Tata Nexon has once again proven its commitment to safety; however, this time with its electric derivative. The Nexon EV, with a larger 45 kWh battery pack (long-range), has received 5-star safety ratings from Bharat NCAP in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP).

- As seen in the table above, the Nexon EV scores the same points as the previous versions which was tested in June 2024 by the Bharat NCAP.
- The driver received ‘good’ protection in most areas during frontal and side impact tests, except for the chest and tibias, which were rated ‘adequate’. The co-driver and all other areas, including in side pole impacts, mostly received ‘good’ ratings, with the chest marked ‘adequate’ in one test.
Which Variant Was Used For The Crash Test?
The crash tests were done on the Nexon.ev’s 45kWh Long-Range Empowered variant, which comes loaded with six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, seatbelt reminder for all, ISOFIX child seat anchors, front & rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, hill hold assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. However, the rating applies to all the 45kWh variants of the SUV, comprising Creative 45, Fearless 45, Empowered 45, Empowered+ 45, Empowered+ 45 Red Dark.
