As the above table indicates, only XZ+ and XZ+ Lux variants have become costlier. That said, the overall price range of the Tata Nexon EV (Rs 13.99-16.85 lakh) continues to remain the same as earlier.

Besides the revision in prices, no other changes have been made to the SUV. It will continue to be powered by the same 129PS/245Nm permanent magnet synchronous motor that draws its charge from a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It is claimed to deliver an ARAI-tested range of around 312 kilometre in a single charge. However, the real-world range could be different depending upon your driving style and road conditions. While it is not officially confirmed, Tata is likely to upgrade the Nexon EV with more powerful 136PS motor in the coming weeks.

Tata Nexon EV supports DC fast charging that can energize the battery from 0 to 80 percent in just 60 minutes. However, it takes up to 8.5 hours for the same when using a 15A regular AC charger.

Currently, the Nexon Electric doesn't have any direct competitor in the Indian market. However, it has been reported that MG Motor will soon launch its ZS EV with lesser battery capacity that will be priced below Rs 20 lakh mark. Click here for more details.
