Tata Hints About The Range of New Nexon EV MAX

  • New Tata Nexon EV MAX is likely to offer a claimed range of over 400 kilometers.
  • Will get a new drive selector, multiple drive modes, electronic parking brakes with auto-hold, adjustable regenerative braking, new alloy wheels, and much more.
  • Prices to be revealed on May 11, 2022.

Tata Motors has once again teased the Nexon EV MAX, this time hinting about its range. The teaser claims a return trip between several places on a single charge, including Mumbai to Pune, Delhi to Kurukshetra, etc.

The distance between all the places shown in the teaser is around 150 km (single side), which means the Nexon EV MAX could return a true highway range of over 300 kilometers on a single charge. And since EVs yield better range in the city traffic conditions (owing to regeneration braking), expect the upgraded Nexon EV to offer a claimed range of around 400 kilometers.

Apart from the increased range, the new Tata Nexon EV MAX will also offer an updated illuminated gear selector rotary knob that will now feature a round digital screen, along with a ‘PARK’ mode. The electrified SUV will also get adjustable regenerative braking, electric parking brakes with auto-hold function, two drive modes (Eco & Sport), and new alloy wheels. Besides, we expect the brand to also offer ventilated front seats, electrochromic inside rearview mirror (IRVM), and cruise control.

While it is not official, we already know that Tata will offer the new Nexon EV MAX with a 40kWh battery pack as opposed to the current model’s 30.2kWh battery. It will also get a more powerful 136PS electric motor (+7PS greater power) for better acceleration.

The new Tata Nexon EV MAX is likely to be sold alongside its ongoing model. In fact, the brand is expected to position it as the new range-topping variant of the Nexon EV that could be priced around Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom). Well, these are all speculations at the moment and the validity of these claims will be proved on the day of its launch on 11th May.

Range MAX with Nexon EV MAX. Coming Soon.
