Tata Harrier Gets A New Daytona Grey Color Option From Safari

The Tata Harrier gets a new Daytona Grey color option (borrowed from the Tata Safari), replacing the older Telesto Grey body shade. Earlier, the brand has now discontinued its Sparkle Cocoa paint scheme.

With this, the Tata Harrier is now available in a total of 7 color choices, including five monotone and two double-tone hues. Here are the details: –

  • Oberon Black (Dark Edition)

The Daytona Grey is actually a lighter tone of grey color that comes with blacked-out alloy wheels for a bit of contrast. In fact, it is the only color apart from the Camo and Dark Edition to come with blacked-out wheels. 

Besides the introduction of a new color, the SUV remains unchanged.

The Tata Harrier mid-sized is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that is rated at 170PS and 350Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox options. Currently, it is offered in 10 broad trims — XE, XM, XMA, XT, XT+, XTA+, XZ, XZA, XZ+, and XZA+.

Features onboard the Harrier include XENON HID projector headlamps, a panoramic sunroof, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a JBL 9-speaker audio system, semi-digital instrument cluster, powered driver’s seat, keyless entry with push-button start, rain-sensing wipers, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, multiple driving modes, cruise control, up to 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program, ISOFIX child seat anchors, corner stability control, hill descent assist, and more. 

Currently, the Tata Harrier is priced from Rs 14.29 lakh to Rs 21.09 lakh (ex-showroom) and rivals the Jeep Compass, MG Hector, Mahindra XUV500, and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700. It also competes with the higher variants of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Skoda Kushaq.
