Tata Curvv: Launch Timeline Announced for EV and ICE Versions

Tata Motors is expanding its EV portfolio with plans to introduce three EVs in 2024. While we have recently seen the launch of the Punch EV, the upcoming electric models include the Curvv EV and Harrier EV. And now, in its investor meeting, Tata has finally disclosed the launch timelines for the Curvv EV, as well as for its ICE-powered version.

According to the carmaker, it is planning to launch the Tata Curvv EV in the second quarter of FY24-25, i.e., between July and September 2024. On the other hand, its ICE counterpart will be launched 3-4 months after its arrival. So expect the ICE-powered Tata Curvv to be launched around the festive season.

Tata Curvv SUV Coupe

Tata Curvv – What To Expect?

The Tata Curvv is essentially an SUV coupe, which will be positioned between the Nexon and Harrier in the company’s current portfolio. It was first showcased as a concept in 2022. However, the carmaker recently showcased its pre-production version at the Bharat Mobility Expo and revealed that the ICE version of the Curvv will get the Nexon’s 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. It is also expected to be offered with Tata’s new 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that makes 125PS and 225Nm.

While the technical specifications of the Tata Curvv EV are yet to be revealed, it is likely to be offered in two range options, with over 500km range on a single charge. It will be based on the brand’s latest Active.ev architecture, which also underpins the Punch EV.
