Tata Commenced Deliveries Of The Tiago EV

Deliveries of the Tata Tiago EV are now underway nationwide and around two thousand units have been delivered across 133 cities in the first batch.

The Tata Tiago EV was launched in September 2022 at an introductory price of Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Initially, these prices were limited to the first 10,000 customers, then extended to an additional 10,000 units. And over 20,000 bookings have already been confirmed for the electric hatchback, of which 10,000 were made on the first day of opening the reservation window. So these prices will no longer be applicable and Tata is yet to divulge the updated price list for its electric hatchback.

Tata offers the Tiago EV in four variants: XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Tech LUX. It gets two battery pack options: 19.2kWh and 24kWh, offering a claimed range of 250 kms and 315 kms, respectively. Their availability is dependent on the variant you choose, and you can find all the details in our detailed article here.

Design-wise, the Tiago EV looks similar to its ICE version, save for some EV-specific changes. As for features, it gets a 7-inch touchscreen system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, automatic AC, digitised instrument cluster, flat-bottom steering wheel, cruise control, multi-regen braking, dual front airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, a rearview camera, and much more.

Tata Tiago EV doesn’t have any direct rival in the Indian market. However, it will soon face competition from the upcoming Citroen eC3 cross-hatch.
