Tata Announces Its New Electric Concept, The AVINYA

Tata Avinya Concept Walk-around | Gagan Choudhary

Tata Motors has revealed its new electric concept vehicle, the AVINYA, underpinnings the brand all-new pure electric generation 3 platform that uses lightweight materials for good weight management and high structural safety and has the next level of waterproofing and dust protection, making it ready for all forms of terrains.

Derived from the Sanskrit language, the term AVINYA stands for ‘Innovation.’ It combines the qualities of a premium hatch with the luxury, versatility of an SUV, and roominess & practicality of an MPV. It features a minimalistic and clean styling inspired by a space capsule, featuring a width spanning new T-shaped LED DRLs, signifying Tata Motors’ pivotal effort in the evolution of EVs. The other notable design elements of the new EV include aerodynamically styled alloy wheels, prominent black cladding, butterfly doors, and an illuminated signature badge stretching across its rear section.

Tata Avinya Interior

Talking about the interior, the scarcity of a B-pillar leads to a pleasingly-lit and breezy cabin. The EV features a unique steering wheel with a large display that can also take up voice commands. Other than that, there is no display to bar any distractions inside the car and create a stress-free atmosphere.

Tata Claims that Avinya boasts of next-generation connectivity, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and enhanced performance & efficiency. While the technical specifications are still under the wraps, the Avinya will offer at least 500 km of range and support ultra-fast charging, energizing it under 30 minutes.
