Suzuki Could Bring 2021 Hayabusa By The Next Month To Our Shore

India's favorite Dhoom bike that has rocked people's minds for years, is going to be launched in a new avatar soon. Recently, the all-new Suzuki Hayabusa has been unveiled for the European market and is likely to make its way to our shore by the end of March 2021. Selected dealers across the country have also started accepting its unofficial bookings for a token amount ranging between Rs 2 lakh and 5 lakh.

2021 Suzuki Hayabusa – Design & Features

The 2021 Busa has undergone an extensive design update; however, its beefy silhouette has been retained. Compared to the previous model, the new Hayabusa looks sharp and modern, thanks to its fresh bodywork, new well-defined lines & curves, massive intake vents up front, and newly designed LED headlight which is flanked by LED DRLs & integrated indicators. It also gets a new front fairing which is more aerodynamic than its predecessor. The rear section of the bike is now flatter and features horizontally positioned split LED tail lamps with integrated indicators.

The sharp design of the new exhaust system complements the overall design. It is 2kg lighter than the older exhaust unit, which will further help the rider with easy maneuvering.

2021 Suzuki Hayabusa features

The electronics package of the 2021 Hayabusa is the main highlight. For starters, it gets a brand-new instrument cluster. While the cluster retains its most loved twin-pod layout, it gets a new TFT display in between the two analog dials, which illustrates a lot of riding info & statics such as ambient temperature, riding modes, lean angle, traction control, etc.

It also gets a plethora of riding-aids, including ride by wire tech, three levels of engine brake control, six-axis IMU, six-rider modes, 10 levels of traction control, launch control, speed limiter, cruise control system, 10 levels of wheelie control, hill ascent and descent control, etc.

The new iteration of Hayabusa continues to use the same twin-spar aluminium chassis. However, its sub-frame has been updated. Suspension duties are handled by fully adjustable 43mm KYB forks at the front and KYB monoshock at the rear. Though the suspension setup seems identical to the previous model, Suzuki has updated some components so that it can acclimate the road conditions in a more prominent way.

The bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels that come wrapped in Battlax Hypersport S22 tires as standard, developed in association with Bridgestone. On the braking front, the new Busa gets 310mm twin discs set up at the front paired with Brembo Stylema calipers, whereas the rear disc gets Nissin calipers.

Suzuki has also improved the ergonomics of the superbike by positioning the handlebar 12mm closer to the seat.

2021 Suzuki Hayabusa – Engine

The new Busa will be powered by the same 1340cc liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder SI engine as the previous model. However, this time the engine complies with the Euro-5/BS6 norm. The engine output figures of the 2021 Hayabusa stand at 190PS at 9,700rpm and 150Nm at 7,000rpm – 10PS and 5Nm less than before. While the engine output has been decreased, its low-end grunt has been improved.

The motor will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter.
