Skoda Kushaq Style 1.0 Now Can Be Had Without Sunroof At Rs 15.09 Lakh

  • Skoda Kushaq’s top-spec Style trim now also comes without a sunroof, saving you Rs 20,000 over the model with one.
  • Only available with 1.0-litre TSI-Manual combination.

There are plenty of models available with sunroofs in India, but not all customers want one. And so, Skoda has silenty launched a new non-sunroof (NSR) Style trim of the Kushaq 1.0-litre TSI model at Rs 15.09 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 20,000 more affordable than the sunroof-equipped Style 1.0-litre TSI manual variant. The brand adopted the same strategy earlier with Slavia’s top-spec Style trim, which is also available without a sunroof.

Apart from the sunroof, the new Skoda Kushaq Style NSR trim also misses out on the rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, and gets a smaller 15-inch spare wheel instead of a 16-inch unit. Besides, it receives all the whistle & bells of the range-topping trim such as automatic climate control, rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charger, height-adjustable driver seat, Skoda Connect, cruise control, a premium 6-speaker sound system, rear-view camera, and a touchscreen infotainment system, which has been downsized now.

As mentioned above, the Kushaq Style NSR trim in only available with 115PS 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission only. However, Kushaq’s other variants can also be had with 1.0-litre TSI-automatic combination, along with a more powerful 150PS 1.5-litre EVO turbo-petrol engine, coupled with a 6-speed manual and an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Currently, Skoda retails the Kushaq between Rs 11.29 lakh to Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, and the upcoming Toyota Hyryder and Maruti YFG.
