Creta Rivaling Skoda Kushaq To Be Launched On June 28, More Variant Details Revealed

Latest Update:– Skoda Auto has finally launched the Kushaq SUV in the Indian market. Click here for variant-wise pricing and other details. 

Skoda Auto India has announced that the Kushaq will be launched on 28th June 2021. Bookings for the SUV will start after the price reveal, while deliveries are slated to commence from July month.

The Kushaq is Skoda’s first highly localized model (over 95% of localization) to be based on the Volkswagen Group's new modular MQB-A0-IN platform. Initially, it will be offered in three variants (Active, Ambition, and Style) and two petrol engine options, comprising a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbo-petrol (115PS/178Nm) and a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbo-petrol (150PS/250Nm) that will also get a cylinder deactivation technology for improved fuel economy. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual gearbox (standard), a 6-speed torque converter automatic (only with 1.0L TSI unit), and a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic (only with 1.5L TSI unit).

As for features, the brand is yet to reveal the variant-wise features details. However, the brand has already shared some of the key features of the Kushaq SUV that includes a 10-inch Play infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car technology, auto climate control with rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, wireless mobile charger, an electric sunroof, a 6-speaker sound system with subwoofer, all-LED lighting system, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, up to 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (standard), rear parking sensors, and a rear-view camera.

It will be offered in 5 exterior color options – Honey Orange, Tornado Red, Brilliant Silver, Carbon Steel, and Candy White.

Expect Skoda to price the upcoming Kushaq between Rs 9.5 lakh to Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, the SUV will lock horns with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, and the upcoming VW Taigun and MG Astor
