Following the rollout of the BS6 Phase-2 emission norms (RDE norms), Renault has discontinued the 800cc version of its entry-level cross-hatch, Kwid. It will now be sold only with the 1,000cc engine.
- The Renault Kwid 0.8L (800cc) iteration was available in RXL and RXL (O) trims.
- Paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, this engine was rated at 54PS and 76Nm.
- The Kwid is now solely available with a 1-litre petrol engine that puts out 68PS and 91Nm. It can be had with a 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT unit.

- Aside from phasing out the 0.8L variants, the Renault Kwid remains unchanged.
- The Kwid will continue to be offered in five variants, RXE, RXL, RXL (O), RXT and Climber, ranging from Rs 4.70 lakh to Rs 6.33 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
- In terms of features, the Kwid comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digitised driver’s display, all-four powered windows, a rear armrest, powered ORVMs, a keyless entry and 14-inch black wheels.
- The safety kit includes dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic stability program (ESP), hill start assist, traction control, rear parking sensors with a camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

- Renault offers the Kwid in six single-tones and two dual-tone shades: Ice Cool White, Metal Mustard, Fiery Red, Outback Bronze, Moonlight Silver, Zanskar Blue, Ice Cool White with Black roof and Metal Mustard with Black roof.
- In the entry-level hatchback segment, the Renault Kwid takes on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and S-Presso.
