Kia Carens Gets A New Luxury (O) Variant At Rs 17 Lakh

Kia has introduced a new variant for the Carens called the ‘Luxury (O)’ at a starting price of Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). Here’s all you need to know about this new variant.

  • This new variant is placed between the Luxury and Luxury Plus trims.
  • It will be offered in only a 7-seater configuration.
  • It gets 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (160PS/253Nm) and diesel engine (116PS/250Nm) options but with only an automatic gearbox. Here’s a look at its prices: –

  • Kia hasn’t offered the Carens Luxury (O) trim with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, and manual & iMT gearbox choices.
  • Compared to the range-topping Luxury Plus variant, the new Luxury (O) trim is up to Rs 1.45 lakh more affordable.

  • This new trim gets all the features of the Luxury variant, along with a single-pane sunroof, LED cabin lamps, and multi-drive modes coupled with mood lighting.
  • The other notable features of this variant include LED headlamps with DRLs, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, 64-colour ambient lighting, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, retractable seat back table in 2nd row with cup holders and mobile/tablet mount, auto-dimming IRVM, six airbags, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, TPMS, hill hold, rear camera and much more.
  • Compared to the range-topping Luxury Plus variant, it misses out on a Bose premium sound system, ventilated front seats, and a wireless smartphone charger.
