Renault Kiger RXT CVT Discontinued In India

  • A few days ago, Renault slashed the prices of the RXT (O) manual variant of the Kiger by Rs 25,000, and now, the French automaker has discontinued the SUVโ€™s RXT CVT automatic variant.
  • The discontinuation of the Renault Kiger RXT CVT variant means that the range-topping RXZ trim is now the only option for those looking for a CVT automatic, which is priced at Rs 10,99,990 and Rs 11,22,990 (both prices, ex-showroom) for the dual-tone version.
  • For those who arenโ€™t, the CVT transmission is only offered with the Renault Kigerโ€™s 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that makes 100PS and 160Nm. This engine is also available with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
  • Renault also offers the Kiger with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 72PS and 96Nm. It can be had with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.
