Petrol-Powered Mahindra XUV300 AMT Launched, W6 And W8 (O) Trims Get New Features

Mahindra has finally brought the long-awaited petrol-powered AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) version of the XU300 into life. Earlier, the AMT options were limited to the diesel variants only. The petrol-AMT combination will be offered from W6 variants onwards with prices starting at Rs 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Bookings for the XUV300 Petrol AMT are now open and deliveries will begin by mid-February onwards.

The Mahindra XUV300 petrol AMT is a 6-speed unit, which is the same Magneti Marelli-source unit that does duty on the diesel version. The petrol-AMT model will continue to use the existing 1.2-litre turbocharged engine which generates 110PS of maximum grunt and 200Nm of twist. The AMT units come with a manual mode, creep function, hill start assist, ESC, and adaptive pedal response. It also features a restrict mode which shuts the creep function if the doors of the car are open.
