Nissan Tekton vs Renault Duster: Similarities and Differences Explained

So in this thread, we have compared both the Nissan Tekton and Renault Duster to draw a clear line between their similarities and differences so that you can make an informed decision: –

Nissan Tekton vs Renault Duster: What’s Similar and What’s Different

ParameterRemark
PlatformRGMP (Renault Group Modular Platform) – Identical for both models
DimensionsBoth the Duster and Tekton have an identical wheelbase (2657mm), width (1815mm), and boot space (518 litres). However, at 4348 mm, the Tekton is just 2mm longer than the Duster. This is mainly due to a different bumper design.
Exterior Styling– The Duster stands out with its more rugged and muscular styling, while the Tekton features slightly more modern and urban styling cues borrowed from the global-spec Patrol SUV.

– That said, the Tekton features a sharper front facia, complemented by sleeker C-shaped connected headlamps and a red strip running across the width of the facia. On the other hand, the Duster sticks to its traditional rugged identity, with a chunkier bumper, prominent body cladding, and signature Y-shaped lighting that emphasise its off-road-ready character.

– Both models also feature distinct designs for bumpers and alloy wheels.
Dashboard and Cabin LayoutIdentical for both models.
Cabin ThemesCompared to the Duster’s dark dual-tone shades, the Tekton utilises a lighter shade inside the cabin for a premium appeal.

The Duster will also be offered with a 160PS 1.8-litre petrol engine with a strong hybrid system, paired with an 8-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT). The Tekton skips this powertrain option.
