Back in February 2025, Renault introduced the Kiger and its other models with a CNG option, and now, Nissan has also launched the Magnite with the same powertrain option. Like the Kiger, the Nissan Magnite doesn’t get a factory-fitted CNG kit. Instead, it will be retrofitted at authorised dealerships.
- Nissan has offered the CNG option across all naturally aspirated petrol-manual variants of the Magnite. It will cost Rs 75,000 extra over their standard counterparts.
- As of now, the CNG kit option is available only in the states of Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka. However, Nissan has confirmed that the CNG retrofitments will soon be expanded to other states as well.

Nissan Magnite CNG Powertrain
For those unaware, Nissan offers the Magnite with two engines: a 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1-litre turbocharged petrol. However, the CNG option is only available with the naturally aspirated engine option. While Nissan has yet to share the technical specifications of the CNG version, it is expected to be slightly lower compared to its non-CNG counterpart.
