Next-Gen Toyota Innova Crysta Spotted For The First Time

Highlights: –

  • New-gen Toyota Innova Crysta spied testing overseas.
  • Likely to get petrol-hybrid powertrain and ADAS tech.
  • Expected to be revealed later this year.
  • India launch expected in 2023.

Images of a camouflaged MPV have been surfaced on the web, suggesting that it could be the next-generation iteration of the Toyota Innova Crysta MPV. The People Mover is long overdue for a generational update as the current-gen model has been on sale since 2016. However, it received a mid-life facelift update in 2020.

2023 Toyota Innova Crysta – What does the teaser image reveal?

  • Since the testing mule was heavily camouflaged, we didn’t get to see the finer design details. Nonetheless, the silhouette of the car, the large glass area and upright tailgate are identical to the existing Innova Crysta.
  • The only changes we have clearly noticed are the newly designed alloy wheels and LED tail lamps. The wheels also seem bigger than the ongoing model.

2023 Toyota Innova Crysta – What to expect

  • While the details of the features are yet to be revealed, we believe the 2023 Toyota Innova Crysta will be better equipped with eminent inclusion such as a connected car suite, digital driver’s display, ventilated seats, and  Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
  • Speaking of the powertrain, it is likely to receive a new petrol-hybrid engine option. Currently, Toyota offers the MPV with 166PS 2.7-litre petrol and 150PS 2.4-litre diesel engines, paired with a 5-speed manual and an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
