Suzuki has finally wrapped off the new Swift concept 2024 at the ongoing Tokyo Motor Show in Japan. It is expected to be launched in India as the fourth-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift by the next year.
Refreshed Exterior
- The new-gen Swift retains a similar look to the ongoing version but with a more modern and muscular aesthetic.
- Upfront, the new-gen model features a flatter nose with a new gloss-black rounded grille complemented by a honeycomb mesh pattern and sharper-looking projector LED headlamps with integrated DRLs. The brand’s logo now sits above the grille, just below the bonnet.
- The front bumper also features reenergized cuts & creases.
- From the sides, the Swift now features a more prominent character line that stretches from the headlamps to the taillamp cluster. New doors have also been introduced, with the rear pair now coming with conventional door handles, replacing the C-pillar-mounted units in the current model. The glass panels and roofline remain essentially unchanged.
- At the rear, it gets new taillights with a C-shaped motif, a refreshed bumper and a redesigned tailgate featuring more angular cues.
New Interior and Features
- The interior of the new Swift has been thoroughly overhauled, featuring a new Baleno-inspired layered dashboard with a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system taking centre stage.
- Regarding features, the new Swift has ADAS. However, it remains to be seen if its Indian counterpart will get these driver-assist safety functions.
