MoRTH Once Again Extends Validity Of Motor Vehicle Documents

In the wake of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic in the country, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has once again extended the deadline for renewal of motor vehicle documents such as driving licence (DL), registration certificate (RC), fitness certificates, and other permits till 31st October 2021. However, it is worth noting that this is applicable for all documents which had an expiry date after 21 February 2020.

This is the seventh time when the centre govt has extended the validity of vehicle-related documents. All states and union territories (UTs) have been informed regarding the revised timeline so that the citizens can avail transport-related services without any difficulties.

As mentioned above, this decision has been taken by the government to prevent people from gathering in large numbers. We also urge you to not step out of your homes unnecessarily and follow the COVID-19 instructions issued by the local authorities. Also, if you are planning to buy a new vehicle, try to take advantage of digital solutions/services launched by many automakers for vehicle bookings, vehicle finance, fixing appointments for test drives, and vehicle servicing as well as availing of special offers for buying a car.
