MoRTH Once Again Extended Validity Of Motor Vehicle Documents Till September 30

In view of the corona epidemic prevailing in the country, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has once again extended the deadline for renewal of all vehicle-related documents. While the previous cut-off date was 30th June 2021, it has now been extended to the end of September 2021.

This is the sixth time when the ministry has extended the validity of vehicle-related documents. All states and union territories (UTs) have been informed regarding the revised timeline.

The documents valid for this extension include a vehicle registration certificate (RC), fitness certificates, permits, and driving licence (DL) that either expired on 1 February 2020 or would expire by 30 September 2021.

This decision has been taken by the government to prevent people from gathering in large numbers. We also urge you to not step out of your homes unnecessarily and follow the instructions issued by the local authorities. Also, if you are planning to buy a new vehicle, try to take advantage of digital solutions/services launched by many automakers for vehicle bookings, vehicle finance, fixing appointments for test drives, and vehicle servicing as well as availing of special offers for buying a car.
