Several new vehicles made their debut in July 2026, such as the Nissan Tekton, Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift, 9th-gen Toyota Hilux, and Honda ZR-V; and many more are set to be unveiled and launched in August as well. Here are the important mass market models scheduled to be unveiled in August 2026: –
1. Updated Mahindra BE 6
Mahindra is expected to launch the updated BE 6 on August 15, 2026. As we reported earlier, it is likely to receive a new dashboard layout, devoid of the halo effect around the driver’s area, to address ergonomics concerns of the current model. It could also get a new cabin theme, along with a triple-screen setup, as with the XEV 9e and XEV 9s.
2. Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift

Along with the updated Mahindra BE 6, the Indian carmaker is also expected to launch the Scorpio N facelift. While it will remain mechanically unchanged, it will get newly designed alloy wheels, a revised dashboard layout, along with a Thar Roxx-borrowed digital instrument cluster and a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment screen.
Expect the 2026 Scorpio N to command a significant price premium over the current model, which ranges from Rs 13.49 lakh to Rs 24.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
3. Mahindra Vision S

The Mahindra Vision S could be another SUV that is expected to be unveiled on this Independence Day. It could be showcased in its near-production-ready version, as the SUV is already under testing for quite a while now. Positioned against the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, the Vision S will be based on the Nu_IQ platform, which is compatible with petrol, diesel, hybrid and fully electric powertrains.
4. Skoda Slavia Facelift
Skoda is set to unveil the Slavia facelift on August 18, 2026. It is likely to receive a new front grille, a revised lighting setup at both ends, along with redesigned bumpers. It could also receive a new cabin theme, along with a host of new features and variant strengthening, similar to the Kushaq facelift. New amenities could include revised graphics for the infotainment & instrument cluster, and a rear seat massage function.
On the mechanical front, the updated sedan is expected to get a new 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox for the 1-litre turbo-petrol engine, replacing the existing 6-speed automatic unit. Besides, the 6-speed manual gearbox, along with the 1.5-litre TSI engine, will be carried over from the current model.

5. New MG EV, PHEV
MG unveiled its new ADAPT (Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology) platform last month, and the first product based on this architecture is set to be revealed this month. It is expected to be based on the Wuling Eksion/Starlight 560 and will be offered in both electric and plug-in-hybrid versions. Tap here for more details.
