MG Windsor Pro Price Increased By Rs 60,000

The MG Windsor EV Essence Pro was recently launched with introductory prices starting at ₹12.50 lakh (with the battery rental plan) and ₹17.50 lakh (with full battery ownership). However, these special prices were only for the first 8,000 bookings, a milestone MG reached within just 24 hours of opening bookings on May 8. As a result, prices have now gone up by ₹60,000.

It’s important to note that the prices for the lower 38 kWh variants remain unchanged. These continue to be priced between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12 lakh (with battery rental) and Rs 14 lakh to Rs 16 lakh (without subscription).

MG Windsor EV Essence Pro – What It Offers?

Being a Pro variant, the new Windsor Essence Pro trim gets a bigger battery, more range and tons of additional features over the other variants. These include: –

  • Larger 52.9 kWh battery pack with a MIDC-claimed range of 449 km
  • Dual-tone Black and Ivory cabin theme
  • Powered Tailgate
  • Vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging support
  • New 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels
  • Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
  • New colour options: Glaze Red, Celadon Blue and Aurora Silver

Powertrain and Charging Time

Despite getting a bigger battery pack, the Windsor EV Pro continues to offer the same performance as the standard model, featuring a front-wheel-drive setup generating – 136PS and 200Nm. Regarding charging, it comes with a 7.4kW AC charger that takes around 9.5 hrs for a full charge. The EV also supports 60kW DC fast charging, which can energies the battery pack from 20 to 80% in only 50 minutes.

The MG Windsor EV continues to lock horns with the likes of the Tata Nexon EV and the Mahindra XUV400 EV.
