MG Motor India has achieved a major milestone with its latest electric SUV, the MG Windsor, clocking 50,000 unit sales in less than 400 days since its launch. This makes the Windsor one of the fastest-selling models for the brand in recent years, highlighting the growing acceptance of electric SUVs in the Indian market.

MG Windsor EV Sales Milestones

  • The Windsor achieved 20,000-unit sales in just six months after its launch.
  • In the FY2025 EV sales comparison, the Windsor ranked among the fastest-selling electric cars in India.
  • The next 30,000 units were sold over the following seven months, showing sustained, steady demand.
  • MG claims it sold 5 units of the Windsor every hour, enabling it to reach the 50,000-unit milestone in just 400 days (approximately 1 year and 4 months).

What Does Make Windsor Popular?

Thanks to its premium cabin, rich feature list and comfortable ride, the Windsor has steadily built a strong reputation among Indian buyers. The addition of multiple battery options with the Windsor Pro has further widened its appeal. However, the standout highlight is MG’s Battery As A Service (BaaS) rental program, which reduces the vehicle’s upfront cost by letting customers pay a monthly rental for the battery instead of owning it outright.
