The MG Hector and Hector Plus SUVs have received new Blackstorm Edition variants, with prices starting from Rs 21.25 lakh (ex-showroom). It features some cosmetic enhancements over the regular model.

- The BlackStorm Edition variants are based on the Sharp Pro variant and command a premium of Rs 25,000 over the standard model.
- It is available with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine (143PS/250Nm) paired with CVT automatic gearbox and a 2-litre diesel mill (170PS/350Nm) mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

Aesthetic Overhaul
The BlackStorm edition boasts a Starry Black exterior shade for stealthier appeal, complimented by a dark chrome treatment for the front grille, side skid plate inserts, bodyside cladding, and tailgate. It also features all-black 18-inch alloys with red brake callipers, smoked-out taillamps, and red accents around the headlamps and on the side mirrors.
Inside, the BlackStorm Edition features an all-black cabin for a stealthier look, with Gunmetal Grey accents and hints of chrome on the centre console, AC vents, door handles, and steering wheel. There’s also the red ambient lighting for added appeal.
Regarding features, it retains the amenities of the Hector Sharp Pro variant. Notable highlights include a 14-inch vertically oriented infotainment with connected car tech, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, digital cluster, powered tailgate, ventilated seats, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, six airbags, ESC, hill hold, TPMS, front & rear parking sensors, and 360-degree camera.

Competition Check
Since the MG Hector Blackstorm Edition and its 3-row counterpart only boasts cosmetic enhancements, it will face competition from the Dark Edition variants of Tata Harrier and Safari duo.
