JSW MG Motor India Unveils Future Plans; Cyberster Performance EV Showcased

MG Motor India has revealed its future roadmap for the Indian market under the banner of the newly established entity “JSW MG Motor India.” This rebranding reflects the joint venture (JV) between MG’s parent company, SAIC, and JSW Group, which was finalised in late 2023.

Here are some key takeaways from today’s announcements: –

  • Path Jindal, a steering committee member at JSW MG Motor India, said the company plans to launch one new model every three to six months, starting from September 2024.
  • The company’s primary focus will be electric and hybrid models, including plug-in hybrid models. No specific details are provided regarding which model will be introduced with hybrid technology.
  • These models will be manufactured in India, with a significant emphasis on localisation to achieve competitive pricing.
