Mercedes Recalls Electric G-Wagon Over Wheel Bolt Defect

0

Mercedes-Benz has issued a voluntary recall for 99 units of the G-Class Electric (electric G-Wagon) in India due to a potential issue with the wheel bolts. These units were manufactured between July 12, 2024, and August 18, 2025.

According to the information shared on the SIAM’s (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) website, the company has observed that in certain G-Class 580 (Electric) manufactured during the aforesaid period, the wheel bolts, unfortunately, might not meet the requirements. In this case, the bolting of the wheel bolts and in the further course the wheel connection might loosen over the vehicle’s lifetime while driving, impairing the driving stability, which may potentially increase the possibility of a crash.

Mercedes-Benz service centers may contact owners of affected vehicles to schedule service and take the necessary steps to rectify this issue. In the meantime, owners may also contact an official Mercedes dealership for further information.
