Mercedes-Benz India has launched the AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ performance-oriented hot-hatch in the country at Rs 79.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Available in a single variant, the hot-hatch has been brought in as a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU). It has no direct rivals in our country.
The AMG A45 S takes its energy from the M139 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine that is highly capable of making 421PS of maximum grunt and 500Nm of peak torque, making it the world’s most powerful four-cylinder production vehicle. The engine is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) that drives the all-wheels of the car.
Mercedes claims that it can complete a century sprint in merely 3.1 seconds before attaining an electronically limited top speed of 270kmph. Mercedes has also calibrated its suspension and steering setup for a thrilling driving experience. Furthermore, it also gets six driving modes – Comfort, Sport, Sport +, Slippery, Race, and Individual, that alter the cylinder compression, engine output, gear shift timings, and driver-assist, accordingly.
In terms of exterior design, the all-new Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ gets an AMG-specific Panamericana grille, angular high-performance LED headlights, chunky bumpers with massive air intakes, and a long bonnet on the front. At the back, it features sleek LED taillights, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a sporty bumper with quad exhausts. Highlights on the sides include its vibrant silhouette and matt black finished 19-inch cross-spoke forged alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, the 5-seater hatchback car is equipped with an AMG Performance steering wheel, black ARTICO man-made leather and DINAMICA microfibre upholstery, twin 10.25-inch MBUX displays, a head-up display, electrically adjustable AMG sports seats with memory function and 4-way Lumbar support, 12-speaker Burmester sound system, ambient lighting with 64 colors, 360-degree camera with Active Parking Assist, Active Lane Keep Assist, Blind-Spot Assist, and many more luxury features.
The Mercedes-Benz A-Class CBU can be specced with up to seven paint options – Night Black, Sun Yellow, Denim Blue, Mountain Grey, Polar White, Cosmos Black, and Iridium Silver.
