Maruti Suzuki Launched New Ertiga 2022

  • Gets a newer front grille and alloy wheels as visual changes.
  • Gets a new 1.5L DualJet Petrol engine with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission and paddle shifters.
  • Also gets a CNG option at the top end.
  • Rivals the likes of Mahindra Marazzo, Renault Triber, Kia Karens, and Maruti Suzuki XL6.
  • Prices range from Rs.8.35 lakh to Rs 12.79 lakh.

After various leaks and teasers on social media, Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the new Ertiga and made it ready for 2022.

What all is new in Maruti Ertiga 2022?

Visually the Ertiga retains the same MPV shape and dimensions. Design-wise on the outside, it gets a new chrome wing slated front grille, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and two new color options as well – Dignity Brown and Splendid Silver. Inside the cabin, it sports a new metallic faux wood finish on the dashboard and also gets a new dual-tone seat fabric.

Under the hood is where the Ertiga sees significant change. It gets a new updated 1.5L DualJet Petrol engine which gets the same mild-hybrid technology seen in the smaller 1.2L K12 engine. This means that features like automatic start/stop will now be offered in the new Ertiga which will help it achieve higher fuel efficiency. Paired with this engine are a 5-speed manual transmission and an all-new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission with paddle shifters as well. This new DualJet engine will push out 103bhp of power and 136.8Nm of torque and the new mild-hybrid tech claims a fuel efficiency of 20.5 kmpl with the manual gearbox and 20.3 kmpl with the new automatic gearbox.

There is also a CNG option on offer with the DualJet engine, which produces 87bhp of power and 121.5Nm of torque and is only available with the 5-speed manual transmission. Claimed fuel efficiency for the CNG model is around 26.1km/kg.

Features and Safety on offer are still the same as the pre-facelifted model. With a 7-inch Smartplay pro infotainment system, Suzuki connected car tech, ABS, EBD, cruise control, hill-hold assist, dual airbags which go up to 4 in the top end, and AC vents for all three rows, the Ertiga is still the trusty family mobile.

Updated Pricing

Ertiga will come with both Manual and Automatic variants right from the launch, a CNG Option will be available as well.
