Maruti Suzuki India has finally announced the base price of the much-awaited eVitara SUV, which starts from Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 49 kWh Delta variant, that too without the battery pack. That said, the battery will be offered on a rental basis (BaaS), with prices starting from Rs 3.99 per km. Customers will also get the option to buy the vehicle outright with the battery pack; however, the prices of which are yet to be revealed.

Maruti Suzuki will also offer the eVitara on a monthly rental subscription scheme for a pre-specified period. This subscription model covers the entire vehicle, allowing users to drive it without owning it while paying a fixed monthly fee that includes insurance, maintenance and other ownership costs.
Maruti Suzuki eVitara: Design and Dimensions
The eVitara is the brand’s first all-electric vehicle based on a dedicated BEV platform (called eHeartact) co-developed with Toyota. It measures 4275mm in length, 1800mm in width and 1635mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2700mm. Riding on 18-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels, it has a ground clearance of 180mm.
Speaking of the design, the eVitara looks butchy and rugged, featuring sharper angles and cuts & creases all over the body. Upfront, it gets a clean nose, flanked by sleek Y-shaped LED DRLs, housing LED projector headlamps between them. The rear also features Y-insignia in the tail lamps that extend slightly into the tailgate, providing the SUV a wider appearance.
Adding to its muscular appearance are the dual-tone bumpers at both ends, along with chunky wheel arches with prominent bulges over the rear section, thick door cladding, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a steeply raked windscreen.
Interior and Features
Inside, the eVitara features a layered dashboard, distinctive from any other Maruti Suzuki offering. It uses plush materials with a soft-touch finish across the dash and door pads. What further enhances the overall feel is the introduction of dual-connected display – a first for any Maruti Suzuki offering, along with a new sporty 2-spoke steering wheel and a fixed-type single-pane glassroof.

Earlier, the brand had also revealed that it had established over 2,000 charging stations across more than 110 cities, with plans to extend this number to 1 lakh chargers by 2030. They will be available for complimentary charging for one year from the vehicle purchase.
