After Dzire and Victoris, the Invicto has become the third model from Maruti Suzuki to secure a full 5-star safety rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests. For those unaware, the Invicto is essentially a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross, which also secured the same crash test results in the past.

Adult Occupant Protection (AOP)
- The Invicto offered ‘good’ protection for the driver’s and co-driver’s heads in the frontal offset deformable barrier test while chest protection was referred to as ‘adequate’.
- Both tibias of the co-driver received ‘good’ protection; however, the driver’s left tibia was rated as ‘adequate’.
- The pelvis of both front occupants and the feet of the driver showed ‘good’ protection.
- In both the side movable deformable barrier and side pole impact tests, all key body regions, including the head and pelvis, recorded ‘good’ protection, enabling the vehicle to secure the full points.

Child Occupant Protection (COP)
- In the Child Occupant Protection tests, rearward-facing child restraint systems were mounted using ISOFIX anchorages.
- The 3-year-old and 18-month-old dummies achieved a perfect 8/8 in the frontal crash and 4/4 in the side crash, resulting in the Invicto earning a full 5-star rating for child occupant protection.

Safety Features Onboard
Maruti offers the Invicto with safety aids like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist, electronic stability control (ESC), electronic parking brake with auto-hold, ISOFIX child seat mounts, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, front & rear parking sensors, all-wheel disc brakes and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Compared to the Toyota Innova Hycross, the Invicto misses out on the level-2 ADAS suite.

Currently, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto is priced from Rs 24.97 lakh to Rs 28.61 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), placing it as a premium alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga/XL6 and Kia Carens & Carens Clavis.
