- Expected to get 9-inch touchscreen infotainment, connected car tech, 360-degree surround view system and HUD.
- Maruti could offer it with a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
We all know that Maruti Suzuki is working on a Baleno-based crossover (codenamed: YTB) that will probably make its global debut at the 2023 Auto Expo. A test mule of the upcoming cross was spied recently, revealing its interior.
Going by the spy images, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki YTB will have a lot of resemblances with the Baleno. It will likely feature the same 9-inch Smartplay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system placed atop the layered dashboard layout as its sibling hatchback. Other expected features are connected car tech, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, Arkamys tuned sound system, 360-degree camera and a heads-up display.

The outer design of the Maruti Suzuki YTB will be largely inspired by the Grand Vitara. That said, it is likely to feature a pronounced front grille with horizontal slats flanked by Nexa’s signature three-pod LED DRLs, clamshell bonnet, a split projector headlamp setup, a coupe-like sloping roofline and machine-cut alloy wheels.
Rumours also suggest that the YTB will benefit from Suzuki’s 1.0-litre BoosterJet turbocharged petrol engine that was first introduced on the Baleno RS in 2017. Besides, Baleno’s ongoing 1.2-litre DualJet naturally aspirated petrol engine could also be on offer.
