Engine, Gearbox and Mileage
Maruti Suzuki has equipped the greener Alto K10 with the same 1-litre DualJet petrol engine as the regular model that makes 57PS/82Nm in CNG mode and 66.62PS/89Nm when running on petrol. It comes only with a 5-speed manual gearbox and claims a fuel efficiency of 33.85km/kg.
Since the Alto K10 CNG is based on the VXI variant, it gets all the features of its petrol-only counterpart, such as steel wheels with full-size covers, body-coloured door handle, front power windows, front power socket, 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, speed sensing auto-door lock, impact sensing door unlock, dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, and much more.
With the added weight of the CNG kit, Maruti Suzuki has also retuned the suspension setup of the Alto K10 to improve its handling and ride quality.
