  • The BE07 will be the brand’s fourth born-electric vehicle after the BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9s.
  • It is likely to be underpinned by the brand’s INGLO platform, with a wheelbase identical to that of the XEV 9e.

Mahindra’s electric vehicle journey has gathered strong momentum in recent years, with the launch of its first electric origin SUVs – the XEV 9e and BE 6, in November 2024, followed by the arrival of XEV 9s and BE 6 Formula Edition in 2025. Now, the company has confirmed that its next born electric SUV in the BE range will hit markets in 2027. It will be based on the BE.07 concept vehicle, showcased in August 2022.

Internally referred to as the BE07, the upcoming SUV is running delayed on its original launch timeline of October 2026.

Mahindra BE.07 India launch date/timeline
  • As revealed earlier, the Mahindra BE07 will be a family tourer SUV that will be positioned above the BE 6 in the brand’s current portfolio.
  • It will measure over 4.5 meters in length, with a wheelbase of 2775mm, identical to the XEV 9e and BE 6.
  • Similar to the other born-electric offerings in Mahindra’s portfolio, the BE.07 is also expected to be based on the purpose-built INGLO architecture and will feature Mahindra’s Heartcore design philosophy. However, the design is likely to be more conventional compared to the BE 6’s radical styling.
  • We expect the BE07 to also come with multiple battery pack options, ranging from 60kWh to 80kWh.
  • According to the officials at Mahindra Automotive, they believe the BE07 has a strong potential to be a strong volume driver for the brand.

In other news, Mahindra is gearing up to launch the Scorpio N facelift later this year, which will feature subtle design changes and a host of new features. The brand is also aggressively testing the Scorpio N-based lifestyle pickup truck, which is expected to arrive after the upgraded Scorpio N makes its debut.
