The upcoming Mahindra XUV700 has been spied once again without any camouflage, sporting Mahindra's new brand logo and a slightly different front grille from the previous spy shots, implying that this could be the final production model.
Finished in glossy red color, the SUV looks quite attractive and seems to be vigorously slaughtering the earlier bitter recriminations against her. We can also see its C-shaped LED daytime running lamps that were recently shown in the latest teaser video from the brand.
The rest of the design detailing of the SUV remains quite identical to the earlier leaks with notable elements including silver skid plates, flush-fitting door handles, two-tone alloy wheels, large angular LED tail lamps and an integrated rear spoiler. Besides, the earlier teaser videos have already confirmed features like AdrenoX powered twin-screen setup, Alexa voice assistant support, white leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, a Sony 3D surround sound system with multiple sound modes, high-beam assist, personalized safety alerts, smart air filter, multiple driving modes for diesel and driver drowsiness detection, etc.
Apart from these, it could also offer dual-zone climate control, powered front seats with memory functions, wireless smartphone charging, multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera with a host of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features like lane-keep assist, blind-spot detection, adaptive cruise control, and auto emergency braking.
Mahindra is expected to offer the XUV700 with Thar's petrol and diesel engine options but in a higher state of tune. Both mills are likely to be offered with 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic units, along with a segment's exclusive all-wheel-drivetrain (AWD) system.
The Indian carmaker will reveal the XUV700 on 15th August 2021. We reckon it would be priced between Rs 15.5 lakh to Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom), putting it against the MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and Tata Safari.
