Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport Gets Expensive

Last month, Mahindra granted an exemption to their XUV30 TurboSport variants from the widespread price hikes that affected all of their other SUVs. Alas, the reprieve was short-lived, as the carmaker has now lifted the curtain on increased pricing for this sportier version of the XUV300.

Here’s a look at its revised prices: –

What Powers The XUV300 TurboSport?

  • Powering the XUV300 TurboSport is a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged gasoline direct injection (T-GDI) engine that makes a maximum power output of 130PS, along with a peak torque of 230Nm (250Nm with an over-boost function).
  • The overall output is roughly 20PS/30Nm more than the standard 1.2-litre turbo-petrol MPFI engine.
  • Mahindra claims that this turbo boost engine can return a fuel efficiency of around 18.2 kmpl.
  • Currently, Mahindra offers the XUV300 TurboSport with only a 6-speed manual gearbox.

This sportier iteration of the Mahindra XUV300 locks horns with the turbocharged petrol versions of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexo, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
