Back in August 2022, Mahindra reincarnated the old-gen Scorpio as Scorpio Classic. Now, the carmaker has announced a price increase for India’s highly loved body-on-frame SUV. With a price jump of Rs 65,000, the Mahindra Scorpio Classic will now set you back from Rs 12.64 lakh (ex-showroom). Here’s a look at its revised variant-wise price list: –
Mahindra Scorpio Classic | New Price | Launch Price | Quantum of Price Hike |
S | Rs 12.64 lakh | Rs 11.99 lakh | Rs 65,000 |
S11 | Rs 16.14 lakh | Rs 15.49 lakh | Rs 65,000 |
Mahindra Scorpio Classic has gotten pricier by Rs 65,000. With this, it now ranges between Rs 12.64 lakh and Rs 16.14 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Mahindra SUV is offered with a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine (132PS and 300Nm), mated to a 6-speed manual transmission which drives the rear wheels. The SUV misses the automatic transmission and 4×4 drivetrain even as an option. In fact, Mechanical Locking Differential (MLD) is also not provided with the SUV.
When it comes to features, the Scorpio Classic boasts projector headlamps, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED DRLs, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with phone mirroring function, auto AC with rear vents, leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, height adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, dual-front airbags, anti-theft warning, etc. Click here for variant-wise feature details.
As of now, the Mahindra Scorpio Classic doesn’t have any direct rival in the Indian market. It can be seen as a rugged yet affordable three-row alternative to some mid-size SUVs like Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, and MG Hector Plus.
