Debuted in November last year, the Toyota Innova Crysta is the brand’s latest people mover in India. Its prices were revealed on December 28, and now the carmaker has begun its customer deliveries across the nation.
The Toyota Innova Crysta is a stylish Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) with SUV-inspired styling. It comes in five variants, with prices starting from Rs 18.30 lakh for the base naturally aspirated petrol variant and go all the way up to Rs 28.97 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, India) for the top-of-the-line strong hybrid trim.
If reports are to be believed, the Innova Hycross currently commands a waiting period of around 10 to 14 months for the hybrid variant, while the non-hybrid petrol trims have an estimated waiting time of 4 to 6 months, depending on the variant and location. Having said that, the demand for non-hybrid variants is comparatively lower than the fuel-efficient hybrid trims.
Powering the Toyota Innova Hycross is either a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol or a 2.0-litre petrol strong-hybrid powertrain choice, coupled with a CVT and e-CVT automatic transmission, respectively. It is claimed to return a fuel economy of 21.1 kmpl, which can do over 1,000 kilometres in a full tank.

Speaking of the features, the Innova Hycross comes loaded with tons of premium equipment, such as a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless smartphone charger, a 360-degree surround view system, digital cluster, six airbags, ESC, hill assists, and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), featuring automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Currently, Toyota Innova Hycross has no natural competitors in the Indian market. However, it can be seen as an affordable alternative to the Kia Carnival.
