0

Based on Vahan data till December 2025, Mahindra has surpassed Hyundai and Tata Motors to become the second most selling car brand in India for CY2025. This is the first time Mahindra has gained 2nd position on the list in annual sales. What hasn’t changed is the fact that the Maruti Suzuki continues to be the market leader with over 1.75 million sales.

As per data available on the Vahan portal, Mahindra registered nearly 5.81 lakh units in 2025, up from 4.90 lakh units in 2024. This strong growth of nearly 19% has propelled the brand from fourth to second place in 2025, making it the biggest gainer among all 16 carmakers. And this can be attributed to strong SUV demand across regions, and models like Scorpio, Bolero, Thar and XUV range have kept volumes consistent throughout the year. Here’s a look at the model-wise Mahindra vehicle registration till November 2025: –
