Mahindra had previously announced to gift an XUV700 to the Olympian Neeraj Chopra, who won the gold in javelin throw at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Hence, there is a possibility that the brand is planning to launch a special edition of the XUV700, which will be dedicated to our gold medallist. If it happens, it may come with some visual distinctions, probably with some gold accents.
For those who aren't aware, Mahindra XUV700 will be sold in two broad trims: MX and Adrenox (AX), which will be offered in both 5- and 7-seater configurations. While the prices of the 5-seater variants have already been announced, you'll have to wait until its launch for the prices of 7-seater, automatic, and all-wheel-drive variants.
The spiritual successor of the XUV500 will come with a slew of segment-first features, including Mahindra’s new AdrenoX UI powered twin 10.25-inch screens, Alexa AI assistant, a 12-speaker Sony 3D sound system, segment's largest panoramic sunroof, flush-fitting door handles, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that further comprises active safety features like lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, auto booster headlamps, driver fatigue alert, and much more.
Powering the XUV700 will be more robust versions of the Thar’s 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, paired with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission options. The diesel mill will also come with four driving modes: Zip, Zam, Zoom, and Custome, which will alter the acceleration feedback and steering response accordingly. Here are the detailed engine specifications of Mahindra XUV700: –
