Mahindra Cars Received A Price Hike – XUV500, Bolero, Scorpio, XUV300 And More

Mahindra & Mahindra has revised the prices of its entire product lineup, except for the Alturas G4 full-sized SUV. The rising manufacturing costs is the culprit behind this move. While the Thar off-roader received a price hike last month, the updated ex-showroom price list of all other Mahindra utility vehicles are as follows: –

Prices of the entry-level Mahindra offering has been increased by Rs 20,000 across its variant line-up. With this, the base-spec K2 trim is now approximately Rs 1 lakh more expensive than the Maruti Ignis, however, the difference between their top-spec trims is only Rs 18,000. Ford Freestyle (Rs 5.99 – 8.84 lakh), on the other hand, is still more expensive than the KUV100 NXT.

As the above table indicates, the asking prices of base-spec W4 and petrol-powered W8 (O) variants remain unchanged. Prices of other trim have been increased by up to Rs 65,000. The ex-showroom rates of W6 AMT and W8 (O) AMT also seem unaltered, but the fact is they were launched a few days ago only. Click here to read more about them.

The price hike for the rugged Bolero ranges between Rs 14,000 to Rs 23,000. The mid-spec B6 variant is the most affected by the price hike move.

All the variants of the Scorpio received a uniform price increment of Rs 26,000. For the people not in know, Mahindra is also gearing up to launch the next-generation version of the Scorpio body-on-frame SUV. It will be bigger & wider than the existing model, and will also get a completely new design, new powertrain options along with more features.

Marazzo, the only MPV in Mahindra's product line-up has registered a price bump of up to Rs 39,000. With this, the price gap between the top-spec variant of Ertiga and the base-spec Marazzo has been stretched up from Rs 78,000 to Rs 1.17 lakh.

Prices of all XUV500's variants have gone up by Rs 25,000. Like the Scorpio, the XUV500 will also receive a generation update this year. Revealed by the spy shots, its upcoming model will get many premium features including level-1 autonomous safety features.
