Kia Carens Clavis EV Launch On July 15; 51.4 kWh Battery, 490km Range

The Kia Carens Clavis EV is all set to hit the market on July 15, and ahead of that, the Korean carmaker has teased the upcoming electric family MPV, revealing its exterior and interior design, along with the battery size and claimed range.

Kia Carens Clavis EV – Design and Features

As revealed in the video, the electric version of the Kia Carens Clavis looks largely similar to its ICE counterpart, save for a few EV-specific changes. Having said that, its closed-off grille integrates the charging port, along with a silver garnish just below it. Furthermore, it also features pixel-style fog lamps between the faux skid plate and new aero-optimised alloys.

Inside, the dashboard design remains the same. However, it now features a fresh black-and-white colour scheme, along with a redesigned, floating centre console, which features a sliding tray and a few controls ahead of it.

Kia has confirmed that the model will be offered in a 7-seater layout; however, a 6-seater version could also be on the cards.

The teaser also confirms that it will get Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging support. Expect it to retain most features from its ICE version, including the dual-screen setup, ventilated front seats, a premium BOSE sound system, panoramic sunroof, and level-2 ADAS.
