Kawasaki Versys 650 Updated For 2022

Kawasaki has updated the Versys 650 adventure tourer for 2022 at a premium of Rs 21,000 over the outgoing model, making it now cost Rs 7.36 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new model dons subtle cosmetic changes and added features. Let’s know the changes in detail: –

  • Tweaked Styling: – Kawasaki has made some notable changes to the bike’s appearance, comprising a new front fairing (which seems to be inspired by the larger Versys 1000), a revised LED headlamp setup, a 4-step adjustable flyscreen, and a sharper-looking engine cowl, giving the ADV a muscular look.
  • Upgraded Tech: The refreshed Kawasaki Versys 650 comes loaded with a 4.3-inch fully digital color TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity that enables you to connect your smartphone to the bike. This new rider’s console can automatically adjust the brightness to fit available light. It also gets Kawasaki’s advanced two-stage traction control system called ”Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC)” for enhanced performance and greater rider confidence. Riders can also switch off the traction control system completely.
  • Color Options: The upgraded Kawasaki Versys 650 is available in the brand’s signature Candy Lime Green and Metallic Phantom Silver colors.
  • New Accessories: Enhancing the personalization level, Kawasaki is now also offering an optional USB charger and a taller windshield with this middleweight ADV. Besides, accessories like an auxiliary light set, 28-liter saddle bag, engine guards, tank pads, hand covers, a meter cover, a GPS navigation bracket, oil filler caps, and top case, etc, continue on offer.

The bike rides on 17-inch cast aluminium wheels, suspended on an adjustable Showa fork at the front and preload-adjustable Showa shock absorbers at the rear.

In the Indian market, the Kawasaki Versys 650 locks horns with the Triumph Tiger Sport 660, Honda CB500X, and Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT.
