Author’s Take

The Sandstorm Edition is yet another attempt by Jeep to keep the Compass fresh, following earlier BlackShark and Anniversary editions. While the new cosmetic tweaks add a sense of adventure and help the SUV stand out, there are no mechanical updates or major feature additions, making this feel like a temporary refresh rather than a meaningful upgrade. In our view, Jeep really needs to bring in substantial updates—maybe a facelift or tech upgrades—to compete strongly in this space.
