JCB India Ltd., the country's largest manufacturer of Earthmoving and construction equipment has partnered with the Asian Institute Of Medical Sciences to support the fight against COVID-19. The project will be partially funded by JCB India's CSR initiative in which the company will be funding to buy PEE 's, medicines, testing kits, security suits, and consumables for doctors and health-care works. This initiative will help the hospital to prepare itself for the treatment of the COVID-19 affected patients in Faridabad and the area near it.

Earlier JCB India also helped in providing food and essential supplies in the area where the company operates and also where the other factories are located.

Mr. Subir Kumar Chowdhury, Managing Director, and CEO of JCB India said:

'We have initiated multipronged prevention, mitigation and ongoing support strategy with the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences to deal with COVID-19 related patients. This is in line with keeping with our company value of supporting and enhancing the communities in which we operate. We are certain that this partnership will provide the requisite assistance to people of Faridabad, where our India headquarters is located. We are actively assessing similar initiatives in the areas where our other factories are located.''

At the Global level, JCB in the UK is making steel housing for ventilators at its plant in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. Once Dyson, the ventilator manufacturer, receives approval for its design than a minimum of 10,000 housings will be manufactured which will help in this crisis.

Its good to see that many companies are taking initiative to help the nation to fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
