In India Central Government has imposed nation-wide lockdown due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This Lockdown has intensively affected automotive buyers and companies.
Due to the Lockdown, showrooms and service centres are closed, resulting in a sharp decline in sales figures. Also, the customers are worried about their free service, standard and extended warranty. So, to ensure utmost customer satisfaction in this difficult period many automotive companies have come forward to provide an extension of their free service and standard/extended warranty.
Recently, Tata Motors announced that the free service and warranty falling in the time period between 15 March and 31 May will be extended till 31st July. Apart from Tata, Volkswagen has also given a similar extension period till 31 July for its customers whose free service and warranty is falling between 22 March and 15 May. Hyundai has also adjunct the same for two months.
India's biggest Car-manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has extended the free services & warranty timeline till 30th June. However, for MS cars the falling period is between 15th March and 31st April.
Many other companies have also provided an extension for warranty and free service including TVS.
All automakers have suspended its production operation due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Thus, their service centres and dealerships are also shut.
