The Hyundai i20 has received a new Magna Executive variant at Rs 7.51 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it between the Era and Magna variants. The brand has also introduced new features for the Magna and Sportz variants, along with the option of a CVT gearbox for the Magna trim.
2025 Hyundai i20 – What’s New
- As mentioned above, the Hyundai i20 receives a new second-to-the-base Magna Executive variant that carries all the features of the Magna trim, along with a tyre pressure monitoring system.
- Hyundai has also taken this opportunity to introduce the CVT gearbox option for the Magna variant at Rs 8.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making the automatic transmission option more affordable for buyers. For reference, the CVT was earlier offered from the Sportz variant onwards, prices of which are mentioned below in the table.
- The newly introduced Magna CVT also benefits from a single-pane electric sunroof, which was previously offered from the Sportz (O) variant onwards.
- Hyundai also updated the Sportz (O) variant with two new features — push button start/stop and a 7-speaker BOSE sound system, both of which were earlier limited to the top-spec Asta variant.
- With all these changes, the prices of the Sportz (O) variant have been increased by Rs 18,000 for the CVT and Rs 28,000 for the manual version. Having said that, the Sportz (O) trim now costs Rs 9.05 lakh for the manual and Rs 10 lakh for the CVT version.

Aside from the above-mentioned developments, the Hyundai i20 remains unchanged. Depending on the variant, it continues to get amenities like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digitised instrument cluster, a 7-speaker Bose sound system, electric unroof, auto climate control with rear vents, tilt & telescopic adjustments for steering, wireless charger, type-C USB charging ports, smart keyless entry with push button start/stop, height-adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, rear wiper & washer, rear defogger, and ambient lighting.
For safety, it gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, TPMS, day/night IRV, rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.

Hyundai i20 Powertrain
Powering the Hyundai i20 is a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces up to 88PS of max power and 115Nm of peak torque. It can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.
