Hyundai Exter To Launch In July 2023

Hyundai’s highly anticipated Exter sub-4m SUV is set to make its debut in the Indian market, with bookings already underway. According to reports, the Hyundai Exter is scheduled for launch in July this year, and customers can expect deliveries to begin from August 2023.

  • The Hyundai Exter will be positioned between the i20 and Venue in the brand’s current lineup.
  • The SUV will share its underpinnings with the Grand i0 Nios.
  • The brand will offer the Exter in seven broad trim levels: EX, EX (O), S, S (O), SX, SX (O), and SX (O) Connect.

  • It will be offered with two engine options – 1.2-litre petrol with manual/AMT and 1.2-litre petrol-CNG with a manual gearbox.
  • The 1.2-litre petrol-manual powertrain will be offered across the lineup, whereas the AMT automatic transmission option will be offered with S, SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Connect.
  • The CNG powertrain option will be limited to the S and SX trims.
  • Buyers will have six single-tone and three dual-tone colours available for selection.
  • While the interior of the car is yet to be revealed, it is expected to be loaded with tons of premium features, such as an electric sunroof, 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, digital instrument cluster, cruise control, wireless charging, etc.

  • In addition to the six airbags, the Hyundai Exter will have over 40 advanced safety features, including 6 airbags, ESC, Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), hill hold assist, etc. as standard fitment.

  • Upon launch, the Hyundai Exter will go up against the Tata Punch, Citroen C3 and Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
