Hyundai Exter To Get 6 Airbags Across All Variants

Hyundai has recently confirmed that the highly anticipated Exter sub-4 meter SUV will come equipped with six airbags as a standard safety feature, making it the first sub-4-meter SUV to get six airbags (including the driver, passenger, curtain, and side airbags) across all trim levels.

In addition to the six airbags, the Hyundai Exter will also boast an extensive array of over 40 advanced safety features. Some of the notable inclusions are:

  • Dashcam with dual camera
  • ESC
  • Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)
  • Hill Assist Control
  • Tyre pressure monitoring system
  • 3-point seatbelt
  • Seatbelt reminder for all seats
  • Burglar alarm
  • Rear Parking Camera

and many more.

Hyundai Exter safety features

Speaking of the variant lineup, the Hyundai Exter will be offered in five trim options – EX, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect, across two engine options – 1.2-litre petrol and 1.2-litre petrol-CNG, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Bookings for the Exter have already commenced with a nominal amount of Rs 11,000. The carmaker is expected to launch the SUV in the upcoming weeks, and the prices are anticipated to start from approximately Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom).

Once launched, the SUV will go up against the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Citroen C3 and some variant of Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
