Hyundai Alcazar is all set to hit the Indian showroom on 18th June 2021. It will be offered in six variants – Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum, Platinum (O), Signature, and Signature (O), which are expected to be priced between Rs 12 lakh to Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the SUV have already been commenced for a token amount of Rs 25,000. However, the recent report from Team-BHP has suggested that Alcazar's top-spec Signature and Signature (O) variants will be sold exclusively via Hyundai's Signature outlets. Which means they will not be available at all dealerships. These two trims will only be allocated to the big Hyundai dealers who sell in larger volumes and have multiple outlets.

Speaking about the Signature trim, it will only be offered in a 6-seater configuration, featuring two individual captain seats in the middle row with reclining and one-touch tip & tumble function. The 3rd row, on the other hand, will get a 50:50 split-bench seat as standard across the variant line-up. As for features, the top-spec Signature variant will get a host of comfort and convenience equipment, including an 8-way electrically adjustable driver seat, ventilated front seats, auto climate control with rear AC vents, voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, floor-mounted armrest with wireless mobile charger, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, Hyundai BlueLink connected car tech with OTA support, auto air purifier, rear sun blinds, keyless entry with engine push-start, blind-view monitor, 64-colour ambient lighting, 8-speakers Bose premium sound system, three drive modes (Comfort, Eco, and Sport), as well as three traction modes (Snow, Sand, and Mud). Passenger's safety will be taken care of by multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill hold assist, etc.

In terms of mechanical, it will be offered with two engines – 2.0-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. The petrol mill delivers a maximum power of 159PS and a peak torque of 192Nm. On the contrary, the 1.5-litre diesel motor is good for making 115PS and 250Nm. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic units with both engines. As far as the mileage is concerned, the petrol mill is claimed to return a fuel economy of 14.5kmpl with manual variant, and 14.2kmpl with AT. On the other hand, the diesel manual is said to deliver 20.4kmpl, while the figure for diesel AT stands at 18.1kmpl.
